A personal project that looks to capture the aesthetics and identity of web3 users, as a way to practice print and package design. The identity of internet users of the late 21st century has come to break down the hegemony that is the corporate surface web with which we all interact. Web3 users wish to congregate in niche communities that encourage discourse and diverse opinions in order to combat the algorithmic manipulation of political ideologies, as well as subverting marketing strategies employed by systems that discourage the open source nature of the original utopian internet. The term “cyberbalkanized” is borrowed from a paper which introduces the concept of internet polarization especially within political communities.
