The culminating project investigating motion capture software and photogrammetry. In order to take advantage of said technologies, The incorporation of cloth simulation was integral to this artistic study of current tools leading game design and vfx work in movies.
In order to highlight the movement and authentic nature of motion capture. I decided to use cloth simulation to highlight the surreal nature of the virtual environment. Taking inspiration from the tribal aspects of west African culture. combined with western artifacts 3d scanned to create environment props, I was able to create a world that felt alien, dream-like, yet recognizable.
Using a generic model to test lighting, rendering and fabric simulation before motion was captured.

I usually try to also score my video work because of my interest in audio design and music. As an aspiring technical artist for the indie game space, I believe that understanding all aspects of design is important. therefore audio is always used to enhance the atmosphere of the video, helping the viewer feel more immersed in the world.
